At the second hearing of the boycott trial held in Istanbul on April 21, the court rejected the defendants’ requests for acquittal. The 21 defendants, including actor Cem Yiğit Üzümoğlu, stated that they had been subjected to mistreatment while in custody and that their right to defense had been restricted. The court also rejected requests to file criminal complaints regarding the allegations of mistreatment and adjourned the hearing until June 17.
