On April 20, police detained 79 people during a protest held in Kadıköy, Istanbul, in support of İlayda Zorlu. Of those detained, 22 were referred to the courthouse, 5 were placed under judicial supervision, and 2 were arrested. Lawyers stated that police violence was used during detention and that access to legal counsel was obstructed.
