A case has been filed against 28 people who were detained during a protest organized by the Mothers for Peace in the Silopi district of Şırnak on October 15, 2024. The indictment also included three journalists. The prosecution charged those who participated in the protest with “attending an unlawful assembly” and “resisting the performance of official duties.” The Silopi Criminal Court of First Instance accepted the case, and it was announced that the first hearing will take place on May 13.
