Migros warehouse workers staged a protest in front of the Beykoz home of Anadolu Group Chairman Tuncay Özilhan, demanding wage increases and improved working conditions. Following the protest, some workers were detained. Among those detained, Umut-Sen Organization Coordinator Başaran Aksu was sent to Beykoz Courthouse on charges of “insulting a public official” and “inciting crime.” DGD-SEN reiterated the workers’ demands for a net 50 percent wage increase, permanent employment, payment of bank promotions, and coverage of the tax burden by the employer.
