The verdict was announced in the retrial of the case against journalist Mehmet Salih Turan due to “making propaganda for a terrorist organization” through his social media posts, which was returned by the Constitutional Court on the grounds that his rights were violated. Istanbul 32nd High Criminal Court decided to dismiss the case due to the expiration of the probation period given to the journalist.
