Gaziantep Regional Court of Justice 3rd Penal Chamber overturned the 3-year prison sentence given to Çetin Kurşun, a reporter for Azadiya Welat Newspaper, which was previously shut down with a Statutory Decree (KHK), and demanded that the journalist be punished on the charge of “terrorist organisation membership.” The journalist reacted against the appeal court decree and stated that both the decrees of the local court and the appeal court are not lawful.
