The Press Ad Institute implemented a 22-day ad ban against BirGün newspaper and a 74-day ad ban against Cumhuriyet newspaper. In addition, Sözcü newspaper was also sentenced to cut ads for 4 days due to two separate columns about the remarkable public career advancement of Justice and Development Party (AKP) Trabzon Deputy Bahar Ayvazoğlu’s wife and former assistant.
