A lawsuit has been filed against the Ankara Bar Association administration after its criticism against the Director of Religious Affairs, who targeted LGBTQs and connected epidemics to homosexuality during a Friday sermon on April 24, 2020 with the press release, “Press release regarding the speech of the President of Religious Affairs, which humiliated a part of humanity with hatred and targeted the masses.” The first hearing of 11 lawyers, who were accused of “insulting a public official based on their duty” will be held at the Ankara 16th Assize Court on November 11.
