The police intervened against the commemoration organised in Kızılay district of Ankara on the anniversary of the death of Ethem Sarısülük, who was killed with a police bullet during the Gezi Park protests in Ankara. Many people were detained in the commemoration. The police officer killing Sarısülük had been sentenced to 15,200 Turkish Liras of administrative fine only.
