Mardin Metropolitan Municipality veterinary practitioner Ismail Taş was fired from the municipality with a “High Disciplinary Council” decree, which was established during the time of trustee administration. Taş was informed of the annulment of his employment contract due to the lawsuit filed against him, in which he was detained following a denouncement on a Kurdish song he shared on social media in 2018, prosecuted and was sentenced to 1 year and three months of imprisonment, which was deferred.
