Director Kazım Öz was acquitted in the lawsuit he was on trial due to “terrorist organization membership” at Tunceli 2nd Assize Court.
Öz faced a claim of imprisonment for up to 15 years due to attending the funeral ceremony of Sakine Cansız, one of the founders of the PKK after she was killed in Paris on January 9, 2012; as well as to the Gezi Park Resistance and to the Peace and Democracy Party’s Politics Academy in 2010.
