The investigation into irregular transactions at Yunus Emre Foundation continues. According to the indictment, approximately 60 million TL was transferred to the foundation through companies founded by the son of Institute President Şeref Ateş, and fake invoices and fabricated procurement files were prepared. It was revealed that these companies only received tenders from RTÜK and that RTÜK paid approximately 18 million TL in total for 17 separate works. However, it was noteworthy that the indictment did not include any investigation into the RTÜK pillar. The executives whose signatures appear on the indictment were also not questioned. After the scandal was revealed, Institute Vice Presidents Rahmi Göktaş and Abdullah Kutalmış Yalçın resigned. CHP leader Özgür Özel reacted by saying “Yunus Emre Foundation robbery is the nationalist arm of the government”
