Yaprak Kurban, a member of the executive board of the IHD’s Dersim Branch, was arrested by a court in Istanbul on April 20. Kurban, who was detained during raids on homes in Istanbul and Dersim, was held by the gendarmerie for four days before being brought before a judge. Four other individuals tried in the same case were released on judicial supervision.
