A new case was filed on April 20 against Öznur Değer, News Director of JINNEWS. The prosecution charged Değer with “resisting the performance of duty” and “insult” for protesting a police raid on her home in Mardin in 2025. Lawsuits were also filed against her mother and sister over the same incident; the first hearing is scheduled for July 14.
