The application of journalist Banu Güven, who carried the administrative decree on a media blackout during the December 17-25 Corruption Operations to the European Court of Human Rights, was concluded. The court decided that the administrative decree was a violation of freedom of expression. Güven’s application at the Constitutional Court had been previously denied due to her not having been directly affected by the decree.
