According to the data compiled by the Coalition of Women in Journalism (CFWIJ) based on the data for the first four months of 2021, the highest number of cases of violence against female journalists was recorded in Turkey. 114 female journalists became targets of harassment, attacks and threat through the judiciary, 50 were prosecuted due to their social media posts or news reported and three were sentenced to imprisonment.
