The fifth hearing of the case against Mesopotamia Agency reporters Esra Solin Dal, Mehmet Aslan, and journalist Erdoğan Alayumat was held at the Istanbul Courthouse. The new indictment prepared based on the statements of the confidential witness “K8Ç4B3L1T5” was merged with the existing case file. Mehmet Aslan was scheduled to present his defense via SEGBIS from Ankara, but the connection could not be established because no courtroom was available at the Ankara Courthouse. The court postponed the hearing until January 22, 2026, to hear Aslan’s defense.
