On the fourth day of the trial in which 401 defendants—including Istanbul Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu—are being tried, the presiding judge sought to relocate the journalists. When the journalists refused to move in protest of the decision, the presiding judge stated that order could not be maintained in the courtroom and adjourned the session until Monday. During the hearing, some defense attorneys also raised allegations that defendants were being pressured in prison to “confess.”
