In the case regarding the removal from office of the provincial chairman and administration elected at the CHP’s 38th Ordinary Istanbul Provincial Congress, the court ruled to uphold the previously issued precautionary measure. The Istanbul 45th Civil Court of First Instance upheld its decision regarding the congress held on October 8, 2023. The court ruled that Gürsel Tekin, who continues to serve as Provincial Chairman, should remain in office. The case was postponed until May 15, 2026. Özgür Çelik appealed the decision to the Constitutional Court.
