CHP Diyarbakır MP Sezgin Tanrıkulu announced that the decision to seal the Avesta Language and Culture Research Association, which provides Kurdish language education in Konak, Izmir, belongs to the Konak District Governorate, not the CHP municipality. Making a statement on his social media account, Tanrıkulu stated that the instruction was given by the Izmir Provincial Directorate of National Education and the District Governorate, and that Konak Municipality was ready to issue a license. Tanrıkulu emphasized that the criticisms against the CHP on this issue do not reflect the truth and that misinformation should be corrected.
