Saturday Mothers demanded the fate of Murat Aslan, who was disappeared in 1994, at the 1062nd protest in Galatasaray Square. Saturday Mothers stated that despite confessions that Aslan was abducted by JİTEM and tortured to death, the perpetrators have still not been tried and called for an end to 31 years of impunity. The statement also emphasized that the new commission to be established in the Parliament should be the beginning of a fair and democratic process, not a token one.
