Eğitim-Sen and KESK reacted against the seminars organized by the Provincial Security Directorate in Şırnak under the title “Şırnak Youth and Safe Future” in which students were forced to be spies. In a statement made in front of Şırnak Provincial Directorate of National Education, it was stated that students were made to watch videos of violence and conflicts and were directed with militarist discourses. Education Union Şırnak Branch President Adnan Şenbayram stated that the practices are against children’s rights. KESK Co-Chair Ayfer Koçak said, “Militarist, warmongering policies should be abandoned as soon as possible.”
