In Samsun, a second wave operation was carried out in the investigation launched due to posts about mayors and politicians through an account opened on social media under the name “Samsun Kuşu”. Mücahit Tok, the nephew of former AKP Mayor of İlkadım Municipality Erdoğan Tok, was detained. It is learned that Tok works as a contractor in Ankara. Previously, journalist brothers Oktay and Okan Çakır were detained on August 28. Thus, the number of detentions increased to three. It is stated that the investigation is being carried out in secrecy, that referrals will be made to the courthouse on Monday and that a third wave operation is also on the agenda.
