Berat Kaşkaloğlu, a student who held a banner reading “Trustees will go, we will stay” at Boğaziçi University graduation, was denied a master’s degree and banned from entering the school. The university administration canceled his graduation card on the grounds that he “disrupted the order of the ceremony”. Kaşkaloğlu said that although he was accepted by the Chemical Engineering Department, he was removed from the list by the institute. Stating that the quota was not filled, Kaşkaloğlu announced that he would file a lawsuit on the grounds of violation of his right to education.
