In Van, a press conference on developments in Rojava, called by the Democratic Institutions Platform, was held under heavy police cordon. The crowd gathered at Millet Park in the İpekyolu district was surrounded by police as they attempted to march. The press conference was attended by DEM Party Van MPs, co-mayors, and numerous political party representatives. DEM Party MP Gülderen Varlı reacted to the attacks against the Kurdish people in her speech and said they would continue the struggle. Police kept the area under siege throughout the statement.
