In the lawsuit filed against six people who were detained during the forum organized in Gülhane Park on April 10 with the call of Workers’ Party of Turkey, the prosecutor demanded punishment.
The prosecutor demanded the defendants to be sentenced on the grounds that they “insisted on not dispersing despite the police warning to disperse” in the case held at Istanbul 30th Criminal Court of First Instance.
Lawyer Özgür Urfa stated that Istanbul MP Erkan Baş also attended the meeting and emphasized that Law No. 2911 does not cover meetings of members of the Turkish Grand National Assembly with the public.
The court adjourned the hearing to November 27, giving time for defense.
