The Ministry of Interior granted permission for a second investigation into Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş on December 21. The Ministry authorized an investigation into Yavaş and 38 municipal council members on allegations of “misuse of office,” citing the failure to implement administrative court rulings that annulled certain zoning plans in the Gölbaşı İncek neighborhood. The Ministry had previously granted permission for an investigation on November 22 regarding concert expenses.
