Retired Lieutenant General and İYİ Party National Security Policy Advisor Rafet Kılıç announced that he was not allowed to enter military clubs despite the court ruling that overturned the ban on entry to military clubs. Kılıç stated that his access to military clubs was banned approximately eight months ago after he criticized a statement by Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler, and that this ban was lifted by the court on September 17. Kılıç said that a new ban was imposed before the decision was implemented, that he was not informed of the reason for the ban, and that he learned of the situation when he tried to enter the military club and received a system warning. Kılıç stated that the ban was being used as a tool to silence retired soldiers who expressed critical views.
