On June 2, the Elazığ 2nd Criminal Court of Peace issued a ruling blocking access to the X account of the Cumhuriyet newspaper, which has 3.4 million followers. The Freedom of Expression Association stated that the decision was made on the grounds of protecting national security and public order. The account remained visible in Turkey following the ruling.
