A new operation was carried out on June 2 as part of the embezzlement investigation being conducted by the Antalya Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office against the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality. While the prosecutor’s office issued detention warrants for four individuals, the police detained three people. Zuhal Böcek, the daughter-in-law of Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Muhittin Böcek—who was arrested and suspended from duty as part of the investigation—was released the day before with a travel ban preventing her from leaving the country.
