Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTÜK) claimed that the kissing scene of two women on a TV series was “against general morality” and penalised Fox Life channel with five broadcast pauses. Putting an annotation against the decree, board member Faruk Bildirici indicated that it is discrimination to evaluate homosexuality as a “violation” and stated, “The mere depiction of homosexuality can not be a violation by itself; for homosexuality is a sexual orientation.”
