The Radio and Television Supreme Council imposed a broadcasting ban on December 29 following the deaths of three police officers during an operation against ISIS in Yalova. RTÜK banned all news, images, interviews, and social media posts related to the incident, citing the confidentiality of the investigation conducted by the Yalova Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office. The Council demanded that existing content be immediately removed from broadcast and announced that administrative sanctions would be imposed under Law No. 6112 for any broadcasts violating the ban.
