Shortly after the speech of Justice and Development Party (AKP) leader and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who said, “In case one day our nation says ‘OK, enough,’ only then we will move aside” during the AKP group meeting yesterday, the hashtag “TAMAM” [“OK”] became the first rank worldwide trend on the social media.

Remaining among the worldwide trends on Twitter since yesterday, the hashtag keeps the position with approximately two million tweets.

The hashtag entered the agenda of the world press as well. Reuters commented that ‘the tweets are a rare moment of unity for the opposition.’

The opposition parties have tweeted the hashtag as well, joining the current on the social media. A replying “DEVAM” [“CONTINUE”] hashtag was opened as a response against the tweets, whereas it couldn’t reach the popularity of TAMAM.

American actor Elijah Wood joined the hashtag campaign as well by tweeting “#tamam” on Twitter.
