Journalist Elif Akgül, who was arrested on February 21 through the Peoples’ Democratic Congress (HDK) investigation, was released. Akgül was detained on February 18. The Media and Law Studies Association (MLSA) announced that Akgül’s release was decided with a tensip order. According to the Turkish Penal Code, release through tensip means the release of the defendant by court decision.
