The decision of Istanbul University Rectorate to remove breakfast from the cafeteria meal plan and decrease discounted meals to one meal per day was cancelled after reactions from the students. The students have protested the decision in the campus as well as on social media; with the police attacking the students with sticks and preventing them from submitting their letter to the Rectorate’s Office.
