A lawsuit was filed against the People’s Democratic Party (HDP) Iskenderun District Co-Chair Hülya Ateş, who was arrested in October due to expressing reactions against the military operation in Syria with posts on social media. The indictment, accepted by Hatay 3rd Assize Court, charges Ateş with “making illegal organisation propaganda” and “public incitement towards resentment and hostility.” The first hearing of the lawsuit will be held on January 16th.
