CHP Youth Branch Chairman Ramazan Yıldız was arrested ahead of the rally organized by CHP Chairman Özgür Özel in Istanbul’s Adalar district on February 11. Yıldız appeared before a judge as part of an investigation into allegations that he insulted Justice Minister Akın Gürlek. CHP Youth Branch Chairman Cem Aydın announced Yıldız’s arrest in a statement on February 12. Yıldız had been detained hours before the rally.
