The Governorate in Muş banned all meetings, demonstrations and press statements for 15 days after the objection of the People’s Democratic Party (HDP) against local election results. The decision was based on “potential provocative protests” and “potential conflict regarding public order.”
According to the unofficial results of the local elections in Muş, the Justice and Development Party (AKP) candidate received 15,914 and the HDP candidate received 15,303 votes with 2,446 invalid votes.
