Enes Sezgin, a member of the DEM Party Youth Assembly in Van, was abducted by seven masked individuals in a vehicle in the city center on the night of December 16. The attackers took Sezgin outside the city, tortured him, and released him after threatening him to leave the city. Following the incident, members of the DEM Party Youth Assembly and democratic mass organizations staged a protest on Sanat Street. In a statement, it was noted that the attack was aimed at intimidating young people, while Enes Sezgin shared his experiences with the public and demanded that those responsible be brought to justice.
