In the retrial of author and publisher Azad Zal on charges of “being a member of an organization,” the prosecutor requested that Zal be punished. The hearing was held at the Diyarbakır 8th Heavy Penal Court. Zal did not attend the hearing; his lawyer, Abdullah Çağer, requested time to prepare a defense. The court granted Zal and his lawyer time to prepare a defense against the indictment and postponed the case until January 26, 2026.
