As part of the investigation into Istanbul Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, who has been detained, his father Hasan İmamoğlu and son Selim İmamoğlu gave statements as suspects at the Istanbul Police Headquarters.
According to the records, Selim İmamoğlu was asked about the source and purpose of money transfers made to his company in Croatia; Selim İmamoğlu said the transfers were for the family’s internal asset management. Hasan İmamoğlu denied the allegations of bribery and money laundering, describing them as “baseless.”
CHP Chairman Özgür Özel reacted to the decision, claiming that Ekrem İmamoğlu’s wife, Dilek İmamoğlu, had her diplomatic passport revoked.
