Kaya family returning from a picnic in Bayrampaşa, Istanbul were reportedly beaten and detained by the police for listening to Kurdish music in their car. Zeynep Yaman, 7 months pregnant, was taken to caesarean section after being kicked in the abdomen; her baby was taken to an incubator and she is in intensive care. 3 members of the family were referred to the court for arrest. The incident sparked a public outcry; DBP argued that the incident was a systematic political violence, DEM Party took it to the Parliament. Istanbul Governorate denied the allegations, requested an inspector.
