The People’s Law Office in Istanbul was raided by police in the morning. During the raid, Attorney Naim Eminoğlu, head of the Istanbul branch of the Contemporary Lawyers Association, was taken into custody. The People’s Law Office reported that Eminoğlu was detained on the grounds of an investigation into the “Gülen movement.” The office and the Istanbul branch of the Association of Contemporary Lawyers stated that Eminoğlu had no connection to this organization and that the operation targeted revolutionary legal activities, demanding his immediate release.
