Police intervened in a march held in the Suruç district of Urfa to protest attacks on northern and eastern Syria. The march, organized at the call of the Democratic Institutions Platform, was attended by the DEM Party, EMEP, ESP, SYKP, and various democratic mass organizations. Police intervened in the march with tear gas, plastic bullets, and water cannons. Five people were detained during the intervention. Tacettin Kamar, who was hit by a plastic bullet, was seriously injured and taken to the hospital. It was reported that many others were also injured in the incident.
