Police intervened in a march organized in Van to protest attacks on Northern and Eastern Syria. A crowd gathered in front of Van Mall AVM at the call of the Van Democratic Institutions Platform wanted to march to Kent Park, but police blocked the march by setting up barricades. Two people were detained during the intervention against the group gathered on Sanat Street. DEM Party MPs Mahmut Dindar, Zülküf Uçar, and Gülderen Varlı reacted to the intervention. In a press statement made under siege, it was emphasized that blocking the marches was unlawful.
