Gendarmerie General Command detained a person named D.A. who liked a video of a Turkish flag on social media. The Cyber Department’s investigation revealed that D.A. was serving his military service at Ankara Provincial Gendarmerie Command, was discharged on October 10, 2025 and liked the post on October 17. It was reported that D.A. was banned from service for 6 days in accordance with the Turkish Armed Forces Disciplinary Law No. 6413 due to his posts during his military service. Gendarmerie General Command made a statement: “Disrespect for national values will never be tolerated”
