CHP Chairman Özgür Özel stated at a rally held in Edirne on December 20 that Fatoş Pınar Türker, General Manager of Medya AŞ, who was arrested as part of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality investigation, was subjected to a strip search and held in a warehouse for four days. Özel said that Türker was prevented from leaving the country on March 13 and that her statement was not taken even though she voluntarily applied to the prosecutor’s office. Türker’s lawyers appealed to the Constitutional Court with allegations of ill-treatment and rights violations and requested that her detention be ended.
