An operation was carried out against Adalar Municipality on June 19 as part of an investigation conducted by the Istanbul Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office. Forty-one people, including Mayor Ali Ercan Akpolat, were detained. The investigation included allegations of bribery, extortion, forgery of official documents and misconduct in office.
