Despite the October 10 Ankara Train Station Massacre, the Gaziantep Governorate did not grant permission for a second investigation against public officials despite the court’s request for a “re-examination”. The Governorate again refused to take action against the then Gaziantep Deputy Police Chief, TEM Branch Director and deputy directors. Previously, the Regional Administrative Court had found the governorate’s initial rejection unlawful and returned the file for reconsideration.
