A lawsuit was filed against the shopkeepers who were beaten for not closing their shop on time during the pandemic period in Ankara, the Prosecutor’s Office issued a verdict of non-prosecution for the guards who beat them. It was seen that the guards hit three shopkeepers with their fists during the footage reflected on the security cameras of the shop, the Prosecutor’s Office argued that the guards were doing their duty and using force in a proportionate way. On the other hand, the lawsuit filed against the three shopkeepers continues at the Ankara 66th Assize Court for the crimes of “resisting to prevent duty” and “insulting”.
